Questions about switching
Is this the official replacement for remove.bg?
No. ImgPilot is independent of remove.bg and Canva. Official guidance points web users to Canva and API users to separate migration documentation.
Is there a free alternative to remove.bg without signing up?
Yes. Use ImgPilot’s Free mode without creating an account, then download your cutout in HD without a watermark. Paid advanced processing and batch tools are optional.
Will signing in charge me?
No. Signing in does not start a paid request or change the selected mode. To use High quality, select it and click the processing button showing the credit cost.
Can I download a transparent PNG?
Yes. Keep the background set to Transparent and download a PNG to use in product listings, presentations or your next design. You can also choose a solid background color before downloading.
Are images processed entirely on my device?
No. Background removal sends your image for server-side AI processing. Background-color export is composed in your browser. See our privacy policy for processing and storage terms.
Are free downloads really HD?
Yes. Free mode includes HD downloads without a watermark. You do not need to subscribe to download a single-image result; paid tools add advanced processing and batch workflows.
